This week I will take some time off to do my annual review. Stay tuned.

 

This is the annual review template I’ve been using since 2021. Good stuff. Go support the guys. Both Chrises are online mentors I admire.

 

Discipline has been a recurring theme that showed up in my end-of-day affirmation this year (more on that later): I made sure to show up, do the work, and acknowledge my effort 95% of the time. My friends noticed this too – in my work, workout, diet. I don’t make excuses.

Affirmation without evidence is just BS.

 

Stop brainwashing yourself.

 

Our brain needs proof.

 

By simply putting the affirmation ritual to the end of the day, you can reflect on how the day’s been, acknowledge your effort and highlight qualities you have.

 

You worked hard. You have evidence.

The more you do this, the more you will start believing you are, indeed, capable of achieving great things. The chance of you surviving a bad day or overcoming a challenge is 100% because you’ve always managed that.

 

I didn’t believe in affirmation until my therapist told me to do this exercise.
