Hey friends 👋🏻
Here are Doable ideas, Reflections and Mindfulness to try out this week.
Doable ideas 💭
Do a brain dump with voice control.
Siri is my best companion when inspiration, ideas and don’t-forget items stike me.
📲 This is how I talk to Siri:
- Hey Siri, remind me to go over last week’s session notes in an hour
- Hey Siri, countdown for 13 minutes (my most-used command when I make boiled eggs)
- Hey Siri, remind me to confirm Alex’s wedding RSVP on 31 July
Set it and forget it.
This “hack” helps me stay focused on my current task, and overall prompts me take more actions that get me closer to my goals.
The best part? You don’t need to touch your phone, which means you will not be distracted by notifications or “harmless scroll”.
Note-taking via Siri is one thing, but setting a timely reminder for yourself will make sure you revisit the notes and get things done.
It’s also great for habit building – I never missed a day for the supplements that I have to take twice a day.
Your future self will thank you.

Mindfulness 🧘🏻♀️
Was hanging out with some friends from overseas who were very active on social media. We went for a little hike in Blue Mountain areas 🏔 followed by some good food. I felt an urge to share the beautiful scenery and amazing food with people I know – so I uploaded some “statuses” on my Whatsapp (I’ve been off the grid for > 20 days, by the way).
As I was just standing in front of the Echo Point taking in the scene and the vitamin D, my friends were busy taking videos.
I was reminded how I actually perceived and altered my experience and behaviours based on the online world (i.e. how I wanted the world to see my life): finding empty spots to pose, waiting for all the food to arrive to get the #flatlay, doing multiple takes and so on.
The real world was right in front of me.
This was the moment I would never get back.
Better be fully immersed in it.
Take a good look with the naked eye, not through the lens of social media.
Ideas Worth Pondering 🧠
Being trapped is just a position, not a fate.
– Ryan Holiday
I wish I read about this quote during my quarter-life crisis.
Like emotions, positions are temporary.
You control your responses.
If you enjoyed that, please share with others.
Whenever you’re ready, there are 2 ways I can help you:
