I bought a desk bike last week.

The me a few years ago would scoff at my decision.

 

In fact, it took me a while to rationalise with myself it would be a good investment.

 

Which led me to the point – investment.

 

I grew up with a frugal mindset.

 

Desk bike would be something my family wouldn’t even spare a second of thought on.

 

But this is my investment into health: aim for 120-180 minutes of zone 2 cardio per week (on top of my usual strength training), while working on emails or other admin tasks.

 

Sounds like a pretty good deal.

 

The price tag is a small investment I would pay now, to dodge the neverending medical bill in the future.

 

Compound interest and delayed gratification can get you far, in terms of health.

 

You will never get this time back, so invest your time, energy and attention wisely.
