Doable ideas 💭
Ride the momentum.
When you feel the extra energy to burn or that motivation kick, ride it as much as you can.
You can get so much out of it instead of following the original plan or waiting until deadline.
I find it true especially for someone who menstruates – I feel energetic and unstoppable during the first half of the cycle, which means I can squeeze in extra workout and work block.
Of course, it takes some tracking and tweaking to find your sweet spot. 🙂
What is something I can do now to make next week better?
Building a mindful life practice goes hand in hand with building a strong and resilient mind. We have to be willing to take the time to examine our mind, in order to understand how it functions and how we can use it more effectively.
Many studies show that people who practise mindfulness regularly experience increased focus, reduced stress levels and improved sleep. This is because when we are mindful we are present with whatever it is we are doing, rather than lost in the past or future.
Yes, stop time travelling.
All we have is now.
^ went to another float therapy this week. I find stripping away all the sensations help tremendously with tuning into my inner voice and allowing me to observe my thoughts without engaging. Yes, it is a luxurious “self care” activity that I only indulge in once in a while (got a good deal from boxing day sale last year). But if you got a chance, try it.
