How am I going to respect my time this week?

I made 2 crucial moves to improve my emotional wellbeing this week:

 

  1. New meditation app.

    I changed my workout app subscription last month, which meant that I didn’t have access to meditation soundtracks like I used to, which increased the friction to meditate since I had to search for good ones on YouTube/Spotify. One of my friends told me about Balance app, and I’m giving it a go since they offer 1 year free access.

     

    I’m blown away by their breadth and depth of materials. They have everything from sleep, easing anxiety, boosting focus, to walking meditation and afternoon pick-me-up. The gamification (e.g. awareness level +1) and personalisation are great too.

     

    Yes, there is no magic pill that can take away our anxiety and stress forever. I’m also on the journey, and I encourage you to test whatever strategies that help ease your mind in times of chaos and uncertainties.

  2. Intuitive eating.

    I’m on the journey of rebuilding my relationship with food but I often caught myself labelling them and wanting to track calories again. Knowing how inaccurate tracking calories can be and the fact that it doesn’t serve my goal (to feel good, healthy and nourished after eating), I started a food journal on Notion to track the what, where, with who and my mood related to eating.
