Staying active is one of the guaranteed ways to improve your emotional health.

 

Shift your posture/position, and your mood immediately changes.

 

When you’re constantly moving/focusing on what you’re doing, you untangle yourself from thoughts that you don’t need to act on.

 

I swear by it and staying active is definitely my daily non-negotiable 🙂

What old patterns are showing up in my life?

Maybe most of the “problems” in our lives are not actually problems – just our brains looking for potential threats.

 

Problems in our head, rather.

 

I’m referring to mainly anxiety (e.g. our assumptions about others, stuff we see on the news), not your blood pressure report or your financial situation.

 

I had this insight during this morning’s gratitude meditation (btw, it only took 5 minutes to feel good, highly recommend).

 

What do you feel good about in your life right now?

 

This simple question shifts our focus from everyday “problems” to our general life direction from a bird’s eye view.

 

It can be anything/anyone in our lives, or something about ourselves.

 

Despite my everyday challenges and slight hiccup in my health recently, I had this profound realisation that my life is actually going well.

 

I don’t need to go look out for potential threats or “problems” to solve.

 

Instead, I can just sit here and appreciate what I have in life.

 

After all, all we have is now.

Funny how in early May I decided to experiment growing my business without social media then last week I decided to quit Instagram (after using it for 11 years).

 

This month I’ve been moving slowly. I gained little traction from prospects who reached out via Psychology Today; I’ve still been writing articles on my business website.

 

Further proved the point that social media isn’t the guaranteed way to bring clients in.

 

The truth is, gaining attention and traction without social media means playing a long game.

 

With information overload and short attention span, the more I now believe in the power of long-form content (podcasts, articles, books) in terms of bringing more value to people who genuinely care.

 

Your vibe attracts your tribe.

 

Invest time and energy accordingly.

 

P.S. I also mastered the skin the cat movement this week. It’s a side goal I’ve been working on here and there and it was fun 🙃
