Currently in the season of prioritising inner peace and starting new habits.
Despite going through life changes (and literally winter here in Sydney), I feel very peaceful most of the time.
And I don’t take that for granted.
After all, all emotions, including happiness and peace, are fleeting like the less desirable ones.
Make the most out of it.
Today in 4 minutes or less, you’ll learn:
✔️ How to source advice from your “imaginary board of advisors”
✔️ The foolproof way to enjoy a peace of mind
✔️ Using time intentionally
Doable ideas 💭
Do not check your phone even when you wake up in the middle of the night.
That will set you down the rabbit hole of anything and disrupt your sleep further.
Close your eyes, slow down your breathing, and go back to sleep.
Reflections 🪞
Think of someone you admire. Write yourself advice you think they would give you from their point-of-view.
Mindfulness 🧘🏻♀️
A foolproof way to have a peace of mind – don’t be emotionally attached to a certain outcome.
The biggest lesson I learnt in the past 2 months.
🎵 Walk into the session with a session plan, but don’t expect your client to follow to the letter
❤️ Go on dates without expectation
🏋🏻♀️ Follow workout plan but don’t expect to hit PR every time
Expectation can be dangerous.
Progress is often not linear.
Show up, do your best, progress will take care of itself.
Enjoy the journey, don’t get too caught up with the outcome.
When others are involved, it’s particularly important to make sure both sides are on the same page.
Unspoken expectations are premeditated resentments.
– Neil Strauss
When you’re not emotionally attached to any outcome, you loosen your grip, you are open to possibilities, and you have better control of your thoughts.
In what areas do you get too caught up in life? How can you loosen your grip?
Ideas Worth Pondering 🧠
As long as you’re doing what you want, it’s not a waste of your time. But if you’re not spending your time doing what you want, and you’re not earning, and you’re not learning—what the heck are you doing?
