There is beauty in improvisation.
Last week I stumbled upon Sydney’s largest Italian Festival while I was at one of my favourite croissant spots.
Usually I obsessively planned my cheat day as every calorie should be invested properly in food I truly enjoy. But last Sunday I did not have much cravings, hence I decided to just wing it.
I wasn’t even a fan of Italian food. But the vibe, the unusal food stalls and live music made the experience memorable.
This is a lesson I experience almost every day:
I come into the therapy session with a full plan. The client is having a bad day, and I have to play firefighter addressing the sensory and emotional needs before we can continue working on attention span and social goals.
Maybe we don’t have much control over anything.
Relax your grip, and watch it unfold.
Today in 3 minutes or less, you’ll learn:
✔️ Keystone habit for a healthy mind and body
✔️ Pay it forward
✔️ It’s okay to change your mind
Doable ideas 💭
Prioritise quality sleep by establishing a consistent bedtime routine.
One of the habits that yield the highest return on investment on health and overall mood.
Sleep is often overlooked.
Get your priority right.

What did I do to make a positive impact on someone else’s day?
Mindfulness 🧘🏻♀️
When’s the last time you changed your mind?
I recently changed my mind on entrepreneurship.
3 years ago, I envisioned myself running my own music therapy business full time.
I thought, finally, I would have complete ownership (read: responsibility) on my career, helping people 24/7.
I was wrong.
There are things I don’t like about the Australia healthcare system.
And I don’t want to participate in this game.
To be honest, my passion died a bit at the end of last year.
The hardest part about changing your mind is the identity you used to associate with that you need to let go.
My business is still running. I still have control and agency.
But I decided to go back to employment (part time), and focus on playing the game in the right field.
It is okay to change your mind.
We are fluid and always evolving.
With more information and experience (from research and experiments), we can make better decisions. Move forward with conviction.
Our hypotheses can be wrong.
That’s why it’s important to question our beliefs (and identities), and be okay with changing our mind.
Maybe sometimes it doesn’t matter whether our beliefs are “true” or not – as long as they spark desirable actions.
What beliefs are you holding onto tightly? How are they serving you?
What can you change your mind on that will make you a different person?
Ideas Worth Pondering 🧠

My mind’s a jungle.
I get stuck in my head quite often.
