3 Simple Ways to End Your Year Strong 🎄

Hope you ain’t getting sick of Christmas songs yet.

We’re half way through December!

I was feeling very reflective this week as I continue this journey of mini career (and identity) crisis. Might share more later when I do my annual review in 2 weeks. 🙂

P.S. I’ve been using Chris Sparks’ Annual Review worksheets in the past 2-3 years. Check it out here. It’s long and extensive – just what I want to reflect on the year.

Today in 3 minutes or less, you’ll learn:

✔️ How to set yourself up for success

✔️ What to bring onto next year

✔️ Lessons I learnt from quitting dirty habits

Doable ideas 💭

Set up triggers for desirable behaviours.

Dimming the lights → night time routine.

Brewing herbal tea → phones/tablets off, ready for bed.

10 burpees → ready for a workout.

One tiny action induces snowball effect.

Use it wisely.

Reflections 🪞

What are you ready to let go of before entering the new year?

Mindfulness 🧘🏻‍♀️

This week I started jotting down thoughts I had throughout the days.

I kept the paper with me wherever I went.

Unsurprisingly, there were a lot of recurring, not-so-productive thoughts around the same few topics.

When you zoom out, you start to spot patterns.

Some people always make you second-guess yourself.

Some days of the month you’re more prone to emotional eating.

Some days you make bad decisions because of lack of sleep.

How have you been last week?

If you were to zoom out, what thoughts and behavioural patterns did you spot?

What would you like to change?

What about 2024 in general?

What were your recurring themes?

What do you wish to continue, and what do you want to change?

Don’t get stuck in the everyday mundane.

Zoom out, and you can achieve your goals faster because you know what you have to change.

Ideas Worth Pondering 🧠

The past, and how we view it, is more a reflection of where we currently are than of the past itself.

Not proud of the bad habits, but here are some I quit this year, and lessons I learnt along the way 👇🏻
