Declutter, Destress, Thrive: Your 4-Minute Guide to Well-being 🍃

Spring time in Australia.

Been cleaning up my workspace, rearranging furniture and even changing up my work schedule – all set for something new!

We all need some novelty in things we do, don’t we?

Different route on the way home, different diet, different playlist…

What motivates you?

Today in 4 minutes or less, you’ll learn:

✔️ Why you need to do some decluttering

✔️ Your resilience

✔️ Pay attention to any signs of stress

Doable ideas 💭

Do a quick declutter of your workspace.

Yes, it’s THAT time of the year.

Don’t you ever look up from your couch one day, take a real look at your room and feel horrible at the sight?

When you tidy up your environment, you clean up your mind too. 😌

Reflections 🪞

Where did you encounter struggles this week, and what did you do to deal with it?

Mindfulness 🧘🏻‍♀️

Can you rate how stressed you felt this week, on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the most stressed?

We rarely have time to pause and reflect.

For most people, 2 days per week to “rest” are never enough.

Stress piles up.

It’s not going to affect our work performance just yet, until we have an actual break.

A lot of people experienced sickness right after submitting a huge project or achieving something they’ve been working on for a while.

The body always knows.

It does the necessary work to keep the essential organs functioning.

When you finally have time to rest, all symptoms come out.

That said…

I’m not an advocate for work-life balance.

I don’t believe any “balance” can be achieved.

There are only seasons when you focus on one particular area and put others on hold/maintenance.

I bring up the “stress” topic as I want you to be more mindful of what you’re dealing with every single day.

Specifically, monitor your mood, diet and sleep.

I got shingles last month, out of the blue.

I thought I was happy and relaxed all this time.

I was wrong.

I was forced to rest for a week.

So, be more in tune with our body while we sprint towards our goals.

Please, listen to your body.

Pause for a minute every day to check in with yourself.

Save yourself from unnecessary suffering.

Ideas Worth Pondering 🧠

You need to understand something very counter-intuitive about goals. Goals don’t improve your future. Goals only improve your present actions. A good goal makes you take action immediately. A bad goal doesn’t.
